NEANDERTAL

From 28 march 2018 to 07 january 2019

Since the discovery, in 1856, of its funny cranium in the valley of Neander in Germany (from where his name), the Man de Néandertal fascinates so much that he intrigues. Thanks to the big archaeological discoveries and paléoanthropologiques recent and the numerous artistic and popular productions were realized since the environment of the XIXth, the exhibition paints a portrait of a cousin, a source of numerous fantasies conveyed by a fertile collective imagination

In the course of a route immersif the public is invited to discover his behavior through objects and fossil, stemming from collections of the Museum and from loans of big French and European institutions, rarely exposed to the public, even never presented in France.

Through the evolution of the look concerned this "other humanity", the exhibition exposure questions our perception collection  of the difference and our report relationship in the notion of human race.
